Harry Styles finally starts work on his £18million mega-mansion project – complete with FOUR dressing rooms, an art gallery and an indoor patio

Harry Styles has finally started work on his £18 million mega-mansion project, six years after purchasing the sprawling home.

The £225million former One Direction star, 31, is turning two houses into one to create a massive home.

He also purchased an adjacent house as a gatehouse for his guests and a fourth house on the same street, in order to make the mansion complex arguably the most prestigious part of the capital.

Harry spent around £18 million buying the homes, and it’s unclear how much more he will spend to realize his grand vision, which includes a master suite with four dressing rooms, an art gallery and a covered veranda.

The project began in 2019 when he bought the first house for £8.8 million and planning permission was granted almost two years ago; but the scaffolding has just been established.

In early 2024, she quietly bought a house in Rome from her friend, fashion designer Alessandro Michele, and moved there after splitting from actor Taylor Russell.

Harry, 31, was in the habit of staying at a five-star hotel in London before shopping in Rome. Some reports suggested he spent £2 million over several years to stay in a £2,500-a-night hotel.

He is now ‘head over heels’ in love with actress Zoe Kravitz and the two are regularly seen strolling around the Italian city.

Harry has also been spending some time in Berlin, Germany, lately, working on a new solo album.

Work on Harry’s is estimated to be completed by the end of 2027, meaning Harry’s ‘Roman Holiday’ will continue for some time to come.

Harry’s team held three meetings with local people and also sent out leaflets; maintained an open line of communication with them in case they had complaints about site traffic and noise.

Agreed to install ‘acoustic enclosures to suppress noisy equipment’ and ‘operate the facility’ [machinery] operates at low speeds and includes automatic low-speed idling’.

Workers will use ‘electrically powered equipment instead of internal combustion power’ and ‘pneumatic instead of tracked plant and hydraulic power instead of wheeled power’.

They also have to turn off the engines when a vehicle is stationary.

‘The two houses were completed in World War II, with interior renovations, extensions to the second, ground and lower ground floors, and extensive landscaping. ‘It proposes to combine the Grade II listed building to restore it to its former state and provide a significant improvement.’

They added that community engagement events were taking place and insisted the plans did not interfere with the lighting. A source observed that Harry was ‘giving Ed Sheeran a run for his money’ in his construction job.

The star has agreed to a range of measures to protect local wildlife, including insect hotels and bat boxes.

The area is teeming with wildlife and a survey found wild pigeon nests, bats exiting buildings and a hole used by foxes and other small mammals.
