The year 2025 was the year of the UFO. From new-age documentaries to decades-old mysterious reports surfacing, experts and civilians alike have been stunned by a flood of new information about otherworldly objects appearing in the nation’s skies.
As questions continue to swirl about the validity of such claims and whether we are truly alone in the universe, let’s take a look at the most intriguing extraterrestrial UFO headlines of 2025.
Decades-old footage reveals new UFO clues in strange explosions at nuclear testing sites
Earlier this year, scientists at California’s Palomar Observatory discovered a variety of transient, star-like flares in photographs taken 70 years ago that may hold the key to answers about instances of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) — or UFOs — appearing near nuclear test sites, according to a research paper published Oct. 20, 2025, in Nature’s Scientific Reports.

The images originated from digitized astronomical plates, pieces of glass that capture images of the night sky, compiled by the observatory from 1949 to 1957, also before the launch of the first artificial satellite in October 1957.
“We speculate that some transients could potentially be UAP in Earth orbit and, if they descend into the atmosphere, could provide warning for some UAP observations,” the article stated.
While many of the objects have been determined by scientists to be errors or marks on the physical plates, thousands of other sightings reportedly match various documented UFO sightings that have occurred near nuclear testing sites.
On one occasion, bright objects were seen in the night sky during the same two weeks when witnesses reported numerous UAPs over Washington, D.C., from July 19 to July 27, 1952, according to the report.
The last documented observation within the time frame occurred at a nuclear testing site on March 17, 1956, just one day after the “Joe 21” test conducted by the Soviet Union. accordingly New York Post.
Researchers also later observed hovering transients at at least 124 above-ground nuclear tests at sites active from 1951 until the launch of Sputnik in 1957. The researchers ultimately concluded that eyewitness accounts of star-like ephemeral objects directly related to the conditions created by nuclear weapons tests showed “small but statistically significant associations.”
“Our findings provide additional empirical support for the validity of the UAP phenomenon and its potential connection to nuclear weapons activities and add to data beyond eyewitness reports,” the scientists wrote. he wrote.

Separate police reports compiled between 20 and 22 November documented roughly 20 drone sightings at RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Feltwell, with eyewitness accounts describing “10-15 drones” [flying] potentially entered base airspace,” which ultimately grounded surrounding aircraft.

Popular UFO reporting app Enigma has taken the country by storm after its crowdsourced data recorded thousands of mysterious objects moving up and down the coast of the United States.
Since August, Enigma has documented more than 9,000 sightings of unidentified submersible objects (USOs) within 10 miles of the United States coastline or other large body of water, Marine Technology News reported.
Of the documented sightings, roughly 500 reportedly occurred within five miles of the nation’s coastline, and 150 objects were seen either hovering over bodies of water or moving in and out of bodies of water.
According to Enigma, various clusters of activity appeared to cluster around specific coastal points; The most common locations across the country were California and Florida.
“There seem to be five or six areas around water where there is really high UFO activity,” Kent Heckenlilly, author of “Disaster Disclosure: Aliens, the Deep State, and the Truth,” told Fox News Digital.

New UFO documentary claims US has been hiding evidence of non-human intelligence for decades

The documentary attempts to expose an issue that is common knowledge among US government officials; Farah reveals that members of Congress and the Trump administration have been trying to overcome decades of refusal to release information to the public.

The film also points to examples where non-human bodies have been recovered from mysterious objects, further emphasizing the mystery and sense of urgency surrounding alien life arriving on Earth.
“I think the human race would grow a lot more if we learned that we live in a very crowded neighborhood,” Heckenlilly said. “We’d be curious, we’d want to fit in. If we knew there were species that didn’t have some of the negatives associated with the human race, I think we’d up our game.”
