The former couple were doomed from the start, as Brian admitted to cheating on Kerry with a lap dancer on his hen party night.
The couple split in 2006, with Kerry revealing the singer’s infidelity triggered childhood trauma from seeking the approval of her mother Sue, who had mental health issues, and spending time in foster homes.
Appearing on Slingo’s Getting Lippy Gossip Show with presenter Emma Conybeare and the Daily Mail’s Rebecca Lawrence, Kerry said about her love life: ‘There are lessons to be learned. ‘I can’t blame Brian for Brian leaving me.’
Brian married his current wife Danielle Parkinson in July, while Kerry is currently dating personal trainer Paolo Margaglione.
The pair appeared to be on good terms after reuniting over the weekend for their daughter Molly’s 24th birthday in September.
Kerry has admitted in the past that she and Brian rarely see each other now that their daughters are adults.
But they reunited for Molly’s birthday and rejoiced together in a sweet moment.

In September, Kerry had an adorable reunion with Brian while celebrating their daughter Molly’s 24th birthday over the weekend.
Kerry wrote: ‘How come I was born for the first time today at 24!!!!! Happy birthday my beautiful baby.

Last year Kerry claimed her and Brian’s marriage was ‘completely fake and sham’.
In an interview with The Mirror, she said: ‘Honestly I thought my first marriage would last forever, so I went for it.
‘It was just fake, it wasn’t real, it wasn’t meant to be; This wasn’t what I wanted, it was all fake and fake.’
She explained that since Kerry’s daughters are now adults, there isn’t much need to see Brian anymore.
Kerry added: ‘I haven’t seen him since. [Molly’s 21st birthday] Because the girls are grown up now, we have no reason to talk.’
It comes after Kerry candidly detailed her traumatic upbringing in a brutally honest interview, reflecting on how their marriage stemmed from her long-standing desperation to have a father figure.
She wrote: ‘I honestly can’t tell you how proud I am of the woman you have become…. I love you so much, baby, and I miss you like crazy.’

‘I kept getting married because I really wanted to have a father. ‘It took me so long to realize that I was more than enough.’
