Kansas City’s offense was pretty bad all night, but the game came down to the wire.

The Chiefs took their first penalty of the night at their worst moment. The Broncos lined up for a 4th-and-2 from the Kansas City 9-yard line. Chiefs defender Chris Jones called for an offside penalty after Bo Nix signaled. This gave the Broncos another losing streak and a chance to drive the dagger into the hearts of Chiefs fans.

Nix found RJ Harvey for the go-ahead score with 1:45 left in the game. He proved to be the winner of the game.

The second-year Broncos quarterback finished 26-of-38 with 182 passes and a touchdown pass to Harvey. The lone interception led to a touchdown drive for the Chiefs.

Chiefs quarterback Chris Oladokun had 66 passing yards on three completions. Brashard scored to Smith.

“I think I’m still looking for those answers. I feel motivated obviously because this ends with a sour taste in my mouth, but I need to make the right decision for myself,” he told Gonzalez. “I have to hope that if I want to come back the Chiefs will be willing to bring me back.

“So it’s a two-way street, but at the same time, man, at this point in the year, I’m just trying to finish and give Chiefs Kingdom everything I’ve got and go out there and do it with the talent that you say I’m playing with.”
