Two places Prince William may spend Christmas when he is King | Royal | News

Prince William has spent Christmas Day with his royal relatives at Sandringham for nearly every year of his life. The Prince of Wales, 43, is very used to royal Christmas traditions, such as opening presents on Christmas Eve, walking to church on Christmas Day morning or having a nice festive lunch.
Although William appeared to be enjoying the big day and attended with his wife and three children, a former royal butler has suggested that doesn’t mean the prince will celebrate Christmas at Sandringham when he one day becomes King. Instead, former royal butler Paul Burrell believes change will occur when William wears the crown, and this could include Christmas traditions.
speaking on behalf of Casino.orgBurrell even went so far as to name two places where William and his family might spend Christmas when he becomes monarch in the future.
“They could choose to spend Christmas with the Middletons or even stay at Forest Lodge, which would feel like a real family Christmas for them,” Burrell told Express.co.uk.
“Having a houseful of servants and a houseful of relatives is not the way forward for William. I’m afraid everything will change.”
Burrell even suggested that the family’s Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, might have been another place they might have chosen to spend Christmas during William’s reign as king, with the festivities likely to be much smaller than under King Charles.
The former royal butler, who was close friends with William’s late mother Princess Diana, said: “The King feels a duty to invite the whole family; William will not feel the same obligation.”
He continued: “He will invite the Middletons and his immediate family.
“Anmer Hall, another property on the site, would have been a more suitable, more intimate setting for their Christmas.”
Prince William, first in line to the throne, has not hinted that he will change specific Christmas traditions when his reign comes around.
But he has made clear that change will be on the agenda under his leadership, and he will reportedly embrace it when the time comes.
