Fire engulfs plywood factory in Perumbavoor

A major fire broke out in a plywood factory in Methala near Perumbavoor on Friday, December 26, 2025, causing losses worth lakhs. As the fire spread to the entire building, the machinery and raw materials in the facility became unusable.

While no one was injured in the incident, the workers ran out when they saw the sparks. The incident occurred around 13:00.

8 firefighters and rescue teams were assigned to extinguish the fire. The exact cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
