Hapur district will witness a significant transformation with the Public Works Department (PWD) planning to invest around 200 million rupees for the construction of new roads and renovation of existing roads. The ministry has sent a proposal to the state government outlining 195 projects covering various roads in the region.
Roads to be built
Proposed projects include building new roads, repairing existing roads, and patching work to improve the overall road infrastructure. The total length of the roads covered within the scope of these projects is approximately 260.60 kilometers.
Disabled people identified roads that had not been built before or had been dilapidated over time. The proposal also includes roads proposed by MLAs of three assembly constituencies in the district – Sadat, Dhaulana and Garhmukteshwar.
Projects aim to improve connectivity
MLAs – Vijaypal Adhiti (Sadat), Dharmesh Tomar (Dhaulana) and Harendra Singh Tewatia (Garhmukteshwar) – had submitted proposals for road construction in their constituencies, which were included in the general plan. The projects aim to improve connectivity, especially in rural areas, and provide better access to villages and service roads, as well as national highways.
About projects
Some of the specific projects include construction of roads such as roads from Baba Mastaram’s kuti in Garh village to Abdullapur, Jamalpura to Bilhara and Garh Kashiram residences to Abdullapur. Other routes include Jhajna to Bhagwantpur and Mukhteshwara Ghero to Arifpur Madhaiya. The total budget of these projects is around ₹ 200 crore, which will be used for construction of new roads, repair of existing roads and patching works.
“We have sent the proposal to the government for approval and expect the work to start soon,” CM, PWD Executive Engineer Shailendra Singh said. The Ministry hopes that the projects will be approved and construction work will begin in a short time, which will support the infrastructure of the region.
