Pakistan During Operation Sindoor: Fear Gripped Islamabad, President Zardari Advised To Take Bunker Shelter | World News

Operation Sindoor: Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, in which 26 people lost their lives, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ by carrying out a sensitive operation against terrorists in the early hours of May 7. India’s swift retaliation shook Pakistan’s top leadership; The President of Pakistan admitted that he was advised to take shelter in a bunker during the tension.
Speaking at an event on Saturday, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari revealed that his Military Secretary advised him to move to a shelter for safety during New Delhi’s retaliatory attacks in May. He was merely rhetorical, stating that he refused to enter the shelter despite the warning of the Military Secretary.
ANI quoted Zardari as saying: “My Military Secretary was there. He came to me and said, ‘Sir, the war has started.’ In fact, I told him four days ago that there would be a war. But he came to me and said, ‘Sir, let’s go to the shelters.’ I said, ‘If the martyrdom is to come, it will come here.’ Leaders don’t die in bunkers. They die on the battlefield. “They don’t die sitting in shelters.”
