Man charged in murder investigation after scientist fatally injured on Dundee street
Police was accused of a 20 -year -old man after launched a murder investigation into a seriously injured scientist in a street in Dundee.
39 -year -old Dr Fortune Gomo was found on Saturday at 16:25 on the south of the city.
Emergency services ran to the scene, but despite the treatment of medical officials, the mother living in the region died at the scene.
The force confirmed that a 20 -year -old man was accused of death.
“It took place after Mortem, and his death is now being treated as murder,” the power said in a statement on Sunday.

Dr Gomo was a scientist of the environment and water resources, and among his expertise, there was water resources management, environmental sustainability and policy.

He received a doctoral degree from PhD University in the field of geography and environmental sciences, where his doctorate looked at the connections between the environment and policy production in the Zambezi River basin in Malawi.
After his death, Dr Gomo’s high school and university friend gave tribute to “the brightness of the class”, which matches only with emotional intelligence ”.
Angela Machonesa, who worked with him at Chinhoyi High School and Zimbabve University of Zimbabve National Science and Technology, said in a social media article: “He listened, not just the mind, not from the heart.
“It should not be surprising that he continued to win a doctor. It was only natural. His path was written in the stars a long time ago. To serve. To heal. Healing. And he was doing it exactly.
“But now, this dream was stolen from all of us in a dream, violently, meaninglessly.
“A child will now grow without the love and existence of a mother. A family will once mourn a girl who once illuminated their homes with hope and promises.”
A report will be presented to Procularator Mali, and the arrested man will appear at the Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.
He said that he was aware of the content circulating on social media ”and called on the people of the people not to speculate about the conditions of the incident.
Police in the region will be increasing.
