Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been told to “behave better” after it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s communications officer has resigned. Meredith Maines was only appointed in January and is believed to be the 11th journalist to leave the post in five years.

TalkTV’s Kevin O’Sullivan said the number of different aides during this period was “a lot to lose” and believed Meghan blamed the negative press on her publicist. Citing reports, including one that claimed she had “brought grown men to tears”, O’Sullivan continued: “So journalists would undoubtedly respond by saying, ‘Meghan, if you behave better then these stories won’t be written about you.’ It’s an old vicious cycle.”
