Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green’s moment of celebration with teammate Collin Gillespie turned out to be costly.
The NBA fined Green $25,000 for dropping the f-bomb during Gillespie’s live postgame interview following his dominating performance in the Suns’ 115-101 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night.

Green appeared to say in Gillespie’s ear, “They can’t make fun of you,” but the broadcast’s microphone picked up the comment.
“Oh my God,” Gillespie responded. “On live television, bro?”

The situation was different in the league, and on Tuesday Executive Vice President and President of Basketball Operations James Jones announced that Green had been fined $25,000 for “using profanity while interrupting a teammate’s live television interview.”
Green, who could not play on Monday, could only play in two matches this season due to his hamstring injury. The 23-year-old guard was first injured during training camp.
