Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah on January 1 praised External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s visit to Bangladesh to attend the funeral of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and called Dhaka an “old friend”. Farooq Abdullah said, “I am happy that our foreign minister went there and took part (in the funeral of Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia). Bangladesh is an old friend of ours and we should take it forward. This will give momentum to it.” “This is our destiny. Some people have different aims.
