Man charged with murder after woman found dead
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Yateley.
Hampshire Constabulary officers were notified at around 09:40 GMT on New Year’s Eve that Janet Bowen, 65, had been found dead at an address in Maple Gardens.
Major Crime Squad detectives had previously charged Michael Bowen, 34, of Maple Gardens, Yateley, with murder.
Police said the man was taken into custody and will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
