Sabrina Carpenter has released the most annoying songs of 2025, according to a new study.

Researchers at the Seat Pick website found the pop star’s hits Sugar Talking and Tears were the most annoying songs of last year after subjecting the biggest tracks of the last 12 months to an ‘annoying index’.

They scored the songs on four key factors, including repetition and lyrical padding (repeated words like yes, la, and uh).

According to the index, Sabrina’s tunes disturbed 46 percent of listeners.

Other songs considered annoying include Ed Sheeran’s Azizam and Lady Gaga’s The Dead Dance.

Seat Pick explained: “2025 has proven to be an unforgettable year for music, with record-breaking releases, viral TikTok hits, and artists pushing creative boundaries across genres.

“But some tracks have also sparked debate about how distracting they are, from repetitions to ‘harmonic dullness’.”

The site added: “Sabrina still has significant streams and strong social media engagement, and has enjoyed a hugely successful year overall, winning numerous awards, including Best Pop Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards and Pop Artist of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.”

Those who disagreed with the results were urged not to worry.
