Donald Trump admits health struggle as aides forced to make key change | US | News

As questions grow about President Donald Trump’s health, his aides have reportedly been forced to make a significant change in how they deal with their leader.

Almost since he took office, there have been questions about whether Trump, 79, is fit enough to stay in office not just for his entire term but for an entire year.

Although his doctor, Sean Barbabella, cleared Trump to continue working, there was wild speculation that Trump was catheterized and had dementia, but these claims were denied by the White House.

These speculations were further fueled by Trump’s bruises on his hands (which White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed were caused by too many handshakes) and his occasional trouble hearing things, as well as his sleepiness seen during some White House meetings.

In the second, his “aides, donors and friends” now had to speak louder at meetings so Trump could hear them. Wall StreetJournal.

Trump responded to claims about his hearing problem, sarcastically saying at a press conference: “I can’t hear you. I can’t hear you. I can’t hear a word you say.”

He later added that he only had trouble hearing people when “lots of people were talking.” Even so, other experts have put forward much more serious theories about what is going on with Trump’s physiognomy.

Speaking on the Inside Trump podcast, biographer Michael Wolff touched on White House chief of staff Susie Wiles’s comment to Vanity Fair that Trump had an “alcoholic personality.” Mr. Wolff suggested instead that Trump has a completely different personality.

He claimed: “Susie Wiles might as well have said it was like dealing with a dementia patient. The uninhibited aspects of her personality – the anger, the self-pity… are becoming more and more free. She opens her mouth and you say, ‘this is a problem’.”

Mr. Wolff continued and said that Trump’s possible age-related problems reflect the problems and criticisms leveled at Joe Biden during his time as President.

He said: “There is no way to diagnose the President. It is clear that Joe Biden has profound cognitive difficulties. Everyone around him closed ranks to protect him.

“There is no mechanism for objective diagnosis. The situation is no different now.” Donald Trump. There is no way we can say ‘He is experiencing alarming cognitive problems’. Although his comment about Susie Wiles’ ‘alcoholic personality’ was intriguing.”
