Race-by-race preview and tips for Sunday’s Gilgandra meeting
Choices based on a good piece
Race 1
4. Blue De Beers After running well for a try he headed straight into the lead with a clean pair of heels and gave nothing else a chance when scoring at Bathurst almost a fortnight ago. This was his first escape from a spell, and now that he’s over it, he seems ready to continue his work. 1. Romantic Love He had won at Narromine two starts ago and was disappointed against Bathurst when last produced. He can come here at his best. 2. The Legend of the Crown He carries on from his spell here and was racing well last season with a win at Dubbo before finishing fourth at Tamworth. 5. News Link He is doing his best and improvement is inevitable.
How to play: Blue De Beers WON.

2. Take the money and run He was due to reach the finish line at Tamworth last time but had trouble in the straight and lost his jockey. His previous form was good and he has the chance to make up for it with this squad 8. Vino Rapido He hit the line well for the third time in the same event that Takethemoneyandrun competed in Tamworth. 5. Effietrinket He also performed well when finishing second in the same event at Tamworth and was again considered. 4. Compadre He leaves the same race having finished sixth last time.
How to play: Take the money and run WIN.
race 3
5. It’s a Tata He made three starts and was placed in each of the last two starts either side of a spell. Moving on, he finished third behind Blue De Beers at Bathurst and that form looks solid for such a race. 7. Black Nature He finished fourth at Dubbo on his debut and has since made attempts to hit the mark at this circuit. 8. Chasing the Quivers He was placed at Gunnedah two starts ago and has claims to that effort. 10. Kawatiri He ran well in the final seconds of the start at Moree and has a chance in this race.
How to play: This is a Tata WIN.
race 4
2. Corporate Myth A fast customer, he led and won well at Coonabarabran two starts ago and then backed that up with a final start second at Tamworth in November. He kept pace with that target with a recent trial win at Tamworth. 3. Rejected He’s been in strong form recently, including in the final seconds of the restart at Dubbo, and he’s also got his way to this point after a recent trial. 6. Keadol He’s been racing well with two recent wins at Wellington and Dubbo and could repeat that round. 1.Wilbury continues here and has a generally good history.
How to play: Corporate Legend WIN.
