Brawl breaks out between allegedly armed group after crash in Narre Warren

A fight broke out between a group of alleged gunmen on a popular highway in Melbourne’s south-east.
Emergency services responded to a collision between two cars on the Monash Highway near Ernst Wanke Rd in Narre Warren shortly before 2.30pm.
Police allege the passengers, some of whom were “believed to be armed with sharp weapons”, got out of the cars and “began fighting with each other”.
Three people in one of the vehicles then fled the scene.

“The driver and sole passenger of the other vehicle remained at the scene and are being spoken to by police,” the police statement said.
No injuries were reported.
“The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated,” police said.
