Police launch investigation after man found stabbed in back of Villawood car

A man was found with serious stab wounds in the trunk of a car in Villawood.

Emergency services were called to a car park on Woodville Road, Villawood, at around 6.50am following a separate report of a child being locked in a car.

Police teams arriving at the scene encountered a seriously injured man tied to the back of a vehicle.

“Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command arrived to find a man strapped into the back of a Toyota sedan,” a police spokesman said in a statement.

“The man, aged in his 30s, was treated at the scene for stab wounds and then taken to hospital in a stable condition.”

The crime scene was identified and an investigation was launched into the incident.
