Japan Road Accident: In the unfortunate accident that occurred in the east of Japan, 12 vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle accident as a result of tea leaves spilling from a moving truck causing the vehicles behind to slide. Four people were taken to hospital and tragically one of them later died. Four people were hospitalized; but later one of them died.

What Caused the Traffic Accident in Japan?
The accident occurred as a result of tea leaves scattering on the 500-meter road. Kyodo News stated that the truck carrying the tea leaves was heading from Ashikaga to Sano.
Meanwhile, according to Kyodo News, the injuries of the three people are not life-threatening.

The deceased was from Saitama Prefecture and was 78 years old. According to police officials, after he got out of his truck, he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
According to the information obtained, the exact time of the accident is not yet known. A person who was thought to have been involved in the accident called the police urgently at around 05.40 in the morning.
According to the information obtained, the road was temporarily closed to traffic after the accident.
Workers cleaned the wet tea leaves stuck to the road with heavy machines and shovels.
