Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 70, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on December 14. According to the report, the couple was declared dead for several hours before being found by their 28-year-old daughter, Romy. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office listed the official cause of death as “multiple sharps injuries.” The manner of death was listed as homicide.
According to Page 6, after an autopsy, their bodies were cremated and their remains were handed over to their eldest son, Jake.
Rob and Michele were killed “minutes” after receiving “multiple blunt force injuries” from “another stab,” according to the couple’s death certificates obtained by Page Six on December 23. An important development in the case was the arrest of the couple’s son, Nick Reiner, on December 14 in connection with the deaths of his parents. He has since been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. According to Page Six, Nick Reiner is scheduled to appear in court on January 7, 2026.
