Kakinada sports club members invite SAAP chief for hockey tourney

Members of Kakinada Coastal Sports Club met AP Sports Authority (SAAP) chairman A. Ravi Naidu at the SAAP office in Vijayawada on Monday and invited him to participate as the chief guest in the Kakinada Gold Cup Hockey Tournament-2026 to be held from February 4-14. Club members informed Mr. Ravi Naidu that a modern hockey academy worth ₹2.5 crore will be set up. Kakinada will meet national standards and enable the development of hockey venues in the state. Mr. Ravi Naidu congratulated the club founders Ravi Chandra Prasad and A. Babji for their contribution to the sport and announced the medals to be awarded to the winners of the tournament.
