Chandrababu Naidu to take part in Siddhartha Academy’s golden jubilee celebrations

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Civil Aviation Minister R. Rammohan Naidu will attend the golden jubilee celebrations of Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education on January 7 as chief guest and distinguished guest respectively, academy president M. Rajaiah announced. The event will be held at PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science in Vijayawada.
Addressing media persons at the college in Vijayawada on Monday, Mr. Rajaiah recalled that the academy was founded by 250 members in 1975 with the aim of providing accessible education to all children. Mr. Rajaiah said that the academy, which started with PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science and AG and SG Siddhartha Degree College of Arts and Science, has now grown into 18 institutions and caters to 28,000 students with 4,000 staff.
Over the last five decades, Siddhartha institutions have helped build the city as an educational hub and also established Siddhartha Kala Peetham in 1990, giving the city the title of cultural capital, said Mr. Rajaiah, adding that since its inception, many famous artists have been invited to the city for music and dance programs at the university.
Academy officials, including secretary P. Lakshmana Rao and Joint Secretary N. Lalitha Prasad, said a series of events, including guest lectures by scholars and scientists, medical and science exhibitions, sports, cultural and literary competitions, are being organized in all Siddhartha institutions from March 7, 2025, to celebrate the golden jubilee year.
They said that in the main program on Wednesday, eight donors who have contributed the most to the development of Siddhartha educational institutions will be thanked. Academy vice-president V. Nagabhushan Rao was also present.
