Baby boy fighting for life after being found at home as woman and man arrested | UK | News

A baby boy found at a house in Cambridgeshire is fighting for his life as a man and a woman are arrested. Emergency services were called on Saturday to take the baby to hospital for “life-threatening” conditions.
Police were alerted in March to the incident, which took place in St John’s Chase at around 11am on January 3, after ambulance crews raised concerns. A man and a woman were later arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of Class B and C drugs. Due to the seriousness of his condition, medical teams provided first aid at the scene after taking the baby to the hospital.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called by the ambulance service to March St John’s Chase at around 11am on Saturday, January 3, where paramedics were treating a boy in a serious, life-threatening condition.”
They added: “The baby has been taken to hospital and is in a critical condition.
“A 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, both from March, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of Class B/C drugs.”
