Man dies in Sydney after being pepper-sprayed by NSW police during arrest | Sydney

A man who suffered a medical crisis during an arrest in Sydney’s west has died in hospital.
New South Wales police said officers were called to a home in Homebush around 8.30am on Monday morning following an alleged domestic/family violence-related incident.
Police said officers used OC spray, or pepper spray, while trying to arrest a man.
The 52-year-old man suffered a medical crisis and was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police said the man died at the hospital Monday evening.
Investigations into the critical incident investigation will continue and the investigation will be subject to an independent review. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) said it was notified of the critical incident by police.
