Austintown Township clears way for 7 Brew Coffee
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — 7 Brew Coffee is one step closer to coming to Austintown.
The Austintown Township Board of Trustees approved a zoning change Monday, clearing the way for the popular drive-thru coffee chain to move forward with plans at the corner of Mahoning and Howard streets.
Part of the proposed area was zoned residential, creating the need for changes.
Trustees listened to public comments before voting and ultimately signed off on the rezoning request.
“They’re in front of Mahoning Avenue, which is already a B2 Business. This just means approving the land directly behind it. It was a house and an empty parking lot. They already demolished the house that was abandoned and needed to be demolished. They actually did the township a favor by doing that anyway,” said Ausintown Zoning Inspector Dominic Moltchan.
Some minor demolition and site work will be needed before construction begins. If built, it will be the third 7 Brew location in the area. Salem store opened about two weeks agoThe Howland location will open on January 26.
