‘He’s always been a free spirit’: The truth about Beard Meats Food and his ‘unconventional’ lifestyle, the disagreement that led to his split from ‘Mrs Beard’… and his very glamorous new girlfriend

He is a hugely popular internet personality whose ability to overcome massive eating challenges has earned him an audience of 6 million subscribers on YouTube alone and an estimated annual income of over £5 million.

Yet Adam Moran – or ‘Beard Meat’ as he is better known to his fans – has long had a one-man lifestyle that belies this astonishing success, couch surfing with friends and drifting socially even though he has no lasting relationships.

Now the Daily Mail can reveal Moran is finally dating again after more than two years of being single and is getting close to a stunning new girlfriend.

40-year-old Moran has also been sharing photos of herself with her new love for the first time in recent weeks and introducing him to her family.

He first posted a heartwarming photo of himself hugging a blonde woman in a red dress as they sat together in a pub in Manchester shortly after Christmas.

He was later seen on New Year’s Eve with the same attractive woman, this time alongside her sister Jenna; This suggests that his new relationship may already be getting serious.

The stunning blonde appeared for the third time last week in a video where the 40-year-old actress shared her 2025 highlights.

When approached about the new romance, Moran expressed surprise that anyone would be interested in the love life of an ‘obscure internet clown’ and joked that his dream date would be Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke, but refused to discuss his new relationship further.

Moran has been single since December 2023, when he split from his long-term partner Lindsey Wood, known to his followers as Miss Beard.

However, despite her trademark self-deprecating sense of humor, Moran’s romantic life—or lack thereof—has intrigued her millions of fans, and her tentative reveal of a new relationship has fans showering her with goodwill messages.

Moran, who abandoned his previous career as a banker when his YouTube videos began appearing, had been single since December 2023, when he split from his long-term partner Lindsey Wood.

Although they never married, he was in a relationship with Miss Wood (or ‘Miss Beard’ as she was known to her followers) for 12 years. And he was regularly appearing on his popular channel.

However, news of their separation was officially confirmed in February 2024 when both announced on social media that they were no longer together.

A friend of Lindsey told the Daily Mail: ‘It looks like Adam is finally getting involved with a new woman. We don’t know much about him yet – although I’m sure Lindsey knows a lot more than she’s letting on so far…

‘But she said she was so happy for Adam.

‘He recently turned 40 and I think he feels ready to seriously date again after breaking up with Lindsey.’

Moran and his then partner were living in a newly built £300,000 three-bedroom detached house in Castleford, West Yorkshire, which they bought together in 2019.

Lindsey continued to live there while they moved away following their separation; He spent some time couch surfing with friends in the Yorkshire area and then traveled around Britain and the US, filming multiple eating challenges.

He is believed to prefer short-term rentals or using Airbnb when in the UK and has never settled into a permanent base since leaving Castleford.

Looking at the number of subscribers, views, advertising and sponsorship deals, it all seems extremely low-key for someone now thought to be making as much as £500,000 a month.

Apart from his YouTube debut, Moran also hosts a podcast called ‘Breaking Beard’.

And in a recent episode, Moran revealed that she receives up to 20 brand collaboration offers every week – and even turned down one that alone was worth £30,000.

Moran's outstanding eating performances include devouring 17 McDonald's Big Macs in less than an hour and 155 McDonald's chicken nuggets in less than 40 minutes; and a seven-pound pizza in less than 25 minutes

But despite his banking background, he is said to be relatively uninterested in money.

His company, Tasty Entertainment Limited, was quietly dissolved in February 2024 without opening an account and there is currently no company registered in his name; Many people with similar income find it financially more advantageous to pay company taxes rather than personal taxes.

A friend said: ‘He lives a nomadic life. Judging by his followers, he must be making millions, but no one is sure. The man, like other people, is not very interested in money and does not like to be bound by financial obligations.

‘He could easily buy himself a very nice place, but he likes to be free and do his own thing because he is an unconventional man. That’s who he is and that’s why people love him.

‘But I think that might change if he gets into a serious relationship again.’

Following his breakup with Lindsey, Moran even revealed that he was technically homeless for several weeks.

Moran later told his followers in 2024: ‘I am no longer homeless. A lot of people are worried about me, worried about my health.

‘I have a house that I don’t own anymore, but I live in it, so I have a roof over my head. And I think things are getting better.’

His ex’s friend continued: ‘Both Adam and Lindsey just wanted different things. Lindsey is pretty happy with her life and has even dated a few guys but nothing too serious.’

Another friend of Lindsey’s told us: ‘She and Adam had been together for a long time but Lindsey wanted kids and he didn’t. He didn’t mind getting married, he just wanted to have children and a family.

‘But Adam had made it clear that he didn’t want the responsibility of the children, so they decided to go their separate ways. He was always a free spirit. The split was amicable, they still talk occasionally and Lindsey remains good friends with Adam’s sister.’

Adam’s sister Jenna, who goes by the nickname ‘Sister Beard’ on social media, has now also met her new girlfriend, as revealed on her brother’s Instagram feed.

In the photo, published just after Christmas, Moran and the mystery woman rub their heads as they look lovingly at the camera while enjoying a drink at the Slug & Lettuce pub in Manchester.

The footage was accompanied by the song Sex by The 1975, sparking heated speculation among fans.

One wrote: ‘Man, you can’t just post a photo of you and a beautiful lady without context, right? ‘Spill the beans.’

Another wrote: ‘The song is called Sex so take what you want from that.’

A third fan shared: ‘You both look like a lovely couple – good luck,’ while another added: ‘Hopefully a new lady for the bearded man!’

Moran was working as a stockbroker in Halifax when he started the Beard Meats Food YouTube channel in 2015.

Thanks to his massive feasting skills, he is now one of the world’s most popular food personalities and is ranked in the top 20 of the world’s competitive eaters.

Moran’s outstanding eating performances include devouring 17 McDonald’s Big Macs in less than an hour and 155 McDonald’s chicken nuggets in less than 40 minutes; and a seven-pound pizza in less than 25 minutes.

He described finishing what he calls the ‘Eight Bypass Burger’ at the ‘Heart Attack Grill’ in Las Vegas (which contains 20,000 calories, enough to provide his recommended daily intake for over a week) as ‘my toughest burger challenge yet’.

All of this has earned him a cult-like following and led to millions of views on social media.

In addition to YouTube, he has 1.5 million followers on Facebook and 1.4 million followers on Instagram.

He also produced a series of chart-toppers featuring innovative Christmas songs to raise tens of thousands of pounds for charity The Stroke Association.

These food-themed comedy tracks, with titles such as ‘I want Chicken Wings’ and ‘I Got Cheesecake’, reached the top 20 on the singles chart.

Although she is famous for the large amounts she can eat in one sitting, Moran’s physique fully lives up to expectations: standing 1.70 meters tall, she weighs just 10.5 stone.

He is a qualified fitness trainer and still works out regularly in the gym for two hours a day.

And when she’s not participating in eating contests or contests that often involve junk food, she maintains a strict healthy eating regimen with a low-carb, high-protein diet of fresh fruits and vegetables.
