Meghan Markle says the Sussexes are “proud” to be part of a trend of parents worried about the impact of smartphones on children. The Duke and Duchess, whose children Archie and Lilibet are six and four respectively, spoke at Oprah’s virtual launch event about a book that “invites children to step away from their screens” and explains how they can enjoy life without a smartphone.

Harry and Meghan have shown their support for the cause, with the Prince calling the issue “incredibly valuable”.
