Trump’s Venezuela abduction shatters claims of Western moral authority

By kidnapping a foreign leader, the Trump administration has stripped the West of any credibility in international law, writes Max Gross.
The USA and Israel are the biggest threats to stability in the world. Those who commit piracy and extrajudicial murder at sea Embers The regime has now invaded Venezuela and kidnapped its President. This is US/Western gangsterism on a global scale.
US bombing and military strike to kidnap Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife killed at least 40 people.
He gives it to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin carte blanche. All international condemnation and sanctions against Russia can now be lifted. Russia has permission to kidnap Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. And China can invade and occupy Taiwan with impunity. Israel, of course, has had permission to kill anyone, anywhere, at any time for decades.
So the crazy US President kidnaps the Venezuelan president, and the Australian Prime Minister – my Prime Minister – tumbles around, tail wagging, ready to gleefully pat their bellies like an obedient US lap dog.
Yes, as expected Prime Minister Anthony Albanese declared his support for a “peaceful, democratic transition” saying “We call on all parties to support dialogue and diplomacy to ensure regional stability and prevent escalation of tension.” apparently without any sense of irony.
Do we insist? Who is “we”? A truly disgustingly embarrassing spectacle. What he should do is harshly condemn Trump’s illegal acts of aggression and repeal AUKUS, but he will not do that. “Albo” will never, ever rock the boat.
Journalist Chris Hedges said it best:
The kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife reinforces America’s role as a gangster state. Violence does not create peace. It produces violence. The sacrifice of international and humanitarian law, as by the United States and Israel in Gaza and Caracas, creates a world of lawlessness, failed states, warlords, rogue imperialist powers, and perpetual violence and chaos.
If there is one lesson we should learn from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya, it is that regime change creates Frankenstein monsters of our own creation. The Venezuelan army and security forces, like the Iraqi security forces and army or the Taliban, will no longer accept the kidnapping of their president and US domination (which is done to seize large oil reserves, as in Iraq). This won’t go well for anyone, including the USA
Clearly, there is no “rules-based world order,” as the United States and Israel have repeatedly demonstrated. Those who criticize Putin must be silenced now. when it comes Maria MachadoThe woman Trump and his greasy pals favor as leader of Venezuela, anyone who thinks she’s a beacon of democracy really knows nothing about her.
Signed a bipartisan agreement in 2020. Bibi the Butcherextremist, far-right Likud Party. He even invited Israel to attack Venezuela. However, unlike Machado, Maduro is neither a stooge of Israel nor a sycophant of the United States.
It is clear that this US attack on Venezuela has nothing to do with “narco-terrorists” or “democracy”. This has to do with Venezuela’s vast oil reserves. This is the standard US attack on anyone who refuses to submit themselves to American demands. And this is Trump doing everything he can to distract from the full disclosure of the facts. Epstein files.
Like Robert Reich It says briefly:
‘It’s absolutely insane that someone could lead us into a war without consulting Congress or our allies, without even notifying us or fully explaining to the American people why it was necessary.’
But all is not lost for Maduro. All he has to do is pay Trump ordinary bribe to be released.
Trump’s angry, self-centered one-sidedness has been evident for at least a decade. He only ran for president out of spite Obamawho was there was mocked Trump at the White House Correspondents’ dinner in 2011.
Common courtesy and normal standards have been abandoned since Trump became POTUS. Institutions are being undermined. Laws have no meaning. The Supreme Court is packed. Congress is impotent. I expect the president, who has lost his mind, to declare martial law and suspend or delay the elections. Any excuse will do.
