AISGEF Urges Support for National Conference at Shirdi

Vidyasagar, national vice president of All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) and state president of Andhra Pradesh NGGO Association, has urged government employees to ensure the grand success of the federation’s 18th national conference, scheduled to be held from January 23 to 26 at Shirdi in Maharashtra.
Unveiling the conference poster at the NGO House in Vijayawada on Friday, Vidyasagar said the federation, which has a proud history of over 60 years, represents nearly 80 lakh state government employees across the country. He said that around 1,200 delegates from all states as well as sister delegates from various federations abroad will attend the national council meetings as special guests. 55 delegates from Andhra Pradesh, for whom the state government has approved three-day special temporary leave, will participate.
The conference, organized under the auspices of the Maharashtra State Government Employees Association, will deliberate on important issues such as Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), regularization of contractual employees, pending wage revision issues in various states, labor laws introduced by the Centre, and international developments affecting employees. Many decisions are expected to be made.
Vidyasagar said that the conference was held under the leadership of AISGEF president Subhash Lamba and general secretary Srikumar. Special sessions will be held for female delegates and a full day will be devoted to the problems faced by female employees across the country. AISGEF national executive committee elections will be held on January 26 and Vidyasagar announced that he will contest again for the post of national vice president.
