Akzo Nobel India names Parth Jindal as Chairman with immediate effect

New Delhi, Jan 9 (PTI) Paint manufacturer Akzo Nobel India Ltd on Friday announced the appointment of Parth Jindal as Chairman with immediate effect.
Akzo Nobel India Ltd, in its regulatory filing, said its board of directors has appointed Parth Jindal as Chairman of the company with immediate effect, subject to shareholders’ approval at the meeting held on Friday.
It was stated that Jindal is the General Manager of JSW Paints Ltd and JSW Cements Ltd.
Last year, JSW Paints acquired a majority stake in AkzoNobel India. ₹12,915 crore deal, which later became a promoter of the company.
The Board also approved the reappointment of Rajiv Rajgopal from his current position of Chairman and Managing Director as “Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer” with effect from January 9, 2026, with the remaining terms and conditions of his appointment remaining the same as previously approved by the shareholders.
Additionally, the board also approved the appointment of Shantanu Maharaj Khosla as an additional independent director for a period of three years until January 8, 2029, subject to approval by the company’s shareholders.
