CM tells doctors not to forget their social responsibility

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged medical professionals to never forget their responsibilities towards people and society and complement the government’s commitment and priority to public health.
Addressing the Fellows India Conference, he urged them to remain deeply engaged with the society. The Prime Minister invited over 500 young cardiologists from India and Southeast Asia to the conference organized by the International Cardiology Research and Training Foundation (ICRTF).
Expressing concern about the increasing number of heart-related deaths, the Prime Minister called for a common mission to prevent heart diseases. He suggested that volunteer initiatives, such as providing CPR training to students, could help save countless lives and emphasized the importance of prevention and public awareness.
Describing himself as a social doctor, he emphasized the broader social responsibility of both public leadership and the medical profession.
Mr. Revanth Reddy said the city is fast emerging as a global hub for innovation in life sciences, pharmaceuticals and healthcare. Citing rapid advances in technology, including artificial intelligence and quantum computing, Mr. Reddy said healthcare is becoming increasingly technology-driven.
