Shocking footage shows Seat Leon racing through suburban roads at 122mph… ‘uploaded by teen’ who was killed in horrific head-on smash just hours later: Clip now part of police probe into crash that left four dead

Police investigating a horrific crash in which three teenagers and a taxi driver died are examining video footage showing a car speeding at more than 190 kilometers per hour in a residential area.
The heart-stopping clip is understood to have been uploaded to Instagram by one of the trio killed when their Seat Leon crashed into a private hire car in Bolton in the early hours of Sunday.
The footage is thought to have been taken at 3am on Saturday, 24 hours before the fatal crash that left five passengers needing hospital treatment.
Today, a family friend of one of the dead teenagers branded the clip “stupid” and “crazy”, saying the boy’s father was “absolutely broken”.
Families living near the scene of the horrific crash say they have been pleading for safety measures for years, it emerged today.
Residents said there were collisions on Wigan Road ‘every few months’.
These include a crash just before Christmas outside a primary school, where a car crashed into a wall just a few hundred meters from the site of Sunday’s tragedy.
Debris remains, including part of the car’s bumper, while a wall adjacent to the school entrance has partially collapsed.
Footage apparently uploaded to Instagram by one of the teenagers who died in Sunday’s horrific crash, showing the Seat driving at more than 190 kilometers per hour through a residential area the night before, is being examined by police.

Masrob Ali, 54, who tragically died when his private hire car collided head-on with a Seat occupied by three teenagers in Bolton in the early hours of Sunday morning, is in a photo taken at the graduation ceremony of his 21-year-old daughter Zahrin.
But residents say they were told the statistics did not justify traffic calming or speed cameras because there had been no serious injuries in previous incidents.
A garage employee who knew the family of one of the young people who died in the accident said that they ‘posted stupid videos about speeding in cars’.
‘As crazy kids, I can say this; “They shouldn’t be speeding that much on that road,” he added.
‘If you think about the lives of four people, it’s very sad, especially the taxi driver trying to make it through the weekend and take his money back to his family..’
On Monday, police confirmed that the victims of Sunday’s fatal crash were Muhammad Jibrael Muhtar and Farhan Patel, both 18, and Muhammad Danyaal, 19.
Taxi driver Masrob Ali (54), described as a ‘safe’ driver by his grieving family, was also fatally injured.
Five passengers in both vehicles remain hospitalized for treatment; These include a 29-year-old woman who was traveling in a Citroen and suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.
Detectives investigating the tragedy are understood to be reviewing the 29-second clip, which has now been shared widely on social media.
In this photo, a car believed to be a Seat Leon can be seen driving at surprisingly high speeds towards traffic on a dark residential street.

During the footage, the car veers onto the wrong side of the road, overtaking slower moving vehicles.
During the pointless demonstration, the passenger moves the camera so that the car’s digital speedometer reads 192 mph.
Police have repeatedly warned against the craze of motorists posting videos of themselves speeding on social media, sometimes with fatal consequences.
In 2022, pregnant former Hollyoaks star Frankie Jules-Hough died after 22-year-old Adil Iqbal lost control of his father’s BMW while driving at 193 miles per hour.
Iqbal, who previously shared a video on Facebook after filming himself speeding in a Lamborghini in Dubai, was later sentenced to 15 years in prison for the tragedy on the M66 in Bury, Manchester.
CCTV of the Bolton crash, which occurred at around 12.45am on Sunday morning, appears to show the Seat with teenagers traveling at high speed on the wrong side of the road at 30mph.
He then crashed into father-of-four Mr Ali’s Citroen C4 Picasso private hire car.
Today his daughter said he was a ‘safe’ driver and they were comforted by the belief that the tragedy was not his fault.
“He was a very kind man,” Humayra Ali, 29, told the Daily Mail.
‘Everyone described him as the sweetest, gentlest soul in the world. ‘He would always talk to you with a smile on his face.’
Locals laid flowers at the scene of Sunday’s tragedy, while some said new road safety measures were urgently needed.
They said today that private hire driver Masrob Ali (pictured), 54, was a ‘very safe driver’ and always told his family ‘don’t worry about me’.
‘Given the number of accidents that have occurred in the last four or five years, we said it was only a matter of time before a tragedy like this occurred,’ said one married father.
‘A neighbor had their car written off and hit my car twice, so I built a driveway out the back.’
The man added: ‘It would be nice to see pressure on the police and council to introduce measures such as speed cameras on the roads.
‘But they said their view, based on statistics, was that the situation did not justify any action. He had to wait for such an accident.’
He said he and his family heard a ‘scream and explosion’ when the tragic accident occurred but praised the quick response of emergency services.
A grandfather of eight added: ‘I’ve lived here for 25 years and the traffic problems are getting worse. I have been complaining for the last four years.
‘Some of my friends are taxi drivers; One of them might have been killed, or it might have been a member of my family.
‘We must take action to slow down traffic.’
A mother who lives opposite the crash site said: ‘The problem is that the road is quite long and quite wide, there is nothing to slow down drivers and on some of them I don’t think drivers are aware of their speed.
‘If they don’t fix a problem, I fear more lives will be lost.’
Four people were killed and five injured in the crash in Bolton just before 1am on Sunday morning.
On Monday, Detective Inspector Andrew Page, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘We are still in the early stages of our investigation and are continuing to work to establish the full circumstances of this horrific incident.
‘As an investigation team we would encourage people to be careful about sharing images on social media, given the impact it will have on all the families involved in such a tragic incident.
‘Sharing such images may constitute a crime.
‘Thanks to patrols in the area, teams were able to quickly reach the scene, which was particularly challenging for our colleagues in the emergency services.
‘I would like to thank first responders and the Road Policing Unit in our Bolton area for their hard work since this incident, alongside colleagues from Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service.
‘The scene closed on Sunday evening, but we are still appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
‘Anyone who saw the vehicle moving before the collision, witnessed the incident personally, or has dashcam/CCTV footage of the incident can share this with us.’
Officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the Seat before the collision, the crash itself, or anyone who has dashcam or CCTV of the incident to contact them directly on 0161 856 4741, quoting log 111, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Bolton Council has been approached for comment.
