CNN’s Harry Enten finds that Democrats are now more liberal than at any point in modern election history. The chief data analyst said Tuesday that 59 percent of Democrats identify as liberal; That’s the highest rate on record since the Gallup/CBS News poll began asking party members in 1976. “You know, when I was a kid, ‘liberal’ was a four-letter word. Nobody wanted to be described as a liberal,” said the 37-year-old data analyst at CNN News Center. “So guess what? People identifying as liberal? This is – get this – the highest level in 50 years!”
