2026 Winter Olympics: Chloe Kim ‘good to go’ for Games despite dislocated shoulder

Olympic champion snowboarder Chloe Kim says she will be ready to compete at next month’s Winter Olympic Games despite dislocating her shoulder last week.
Kim, 25, underwent an MRI scan on Friday after injuring her shoulder while training in Switzerland.
The American is aiming to become the first woman to win three consecutive Olympic gold medals in the halfpipe, following victories in Pyeongchang in 2018 when she was 17 and Beijing in 2022.
In an update on Instagram, Kim said he was “ready to go” for the Milan-Cortina matches to be played in Italy from February 6-22.
He said the labrum injury was less serious than feared but it would prevent him from training ahead of the Games.
“There are two different ways to do it, and the way I do it is less violent than the other one, so I’m really happy with it,” Kim said.
“I’m really disappointed that I won’t be able to snowboard until right before the Olympics, which will obviously be difficult.
“I didn’t get as many reps as I wanted, but that’s okay. It’s funny how I’ve been doing this for so long and I’ve faced different challenges every season.
“But I’m still so grateful that I’ll be in good shape to be able to go to the Olympics.”
