Meghan Markle sent 5-word warning over handwritten letter to her dad | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has been sent a big warning about her latest handwritten letter to her father, Thomas Markle. The 81-year-old man reportedly had his leg amputated in a life-saving surgery last month.
It emerged that Thomas was rushed to hospital and underwent a three-hour surgery to remove his left foot and lower leg on December 3 after a circulation problem turned his limb blue and black. After hearing about her father’s surgery, Meghan reportedly reached out to her father via a handwritten letter.
The letter was then given to Thomas, who has not been on good terms with his daughter since 2018, in the presence of a lawyer. The lawyer who was there also recorded the handover process on video.
Speaking on the latest episode of the I Rest My Case podcast, Making a Murderer lawyer Dean Strang issued a major warning to Meghan should the letter fall into the hands of the media.
He said: “As an American lawyer, I am baffled by Meghan’s recovery if her father willingly disclosed a private letter his daughter sent in exchange for payment, or willingly did not disclose to the media in the US, you as the writer of that letter risk the untrustworthy eyes and unreliable ears of the recipient.
He added a five-word warning that read, “You know, you sent this to him, what is he doing with it” and “you can’t expect control.”
It was reported that after his surgery, he would need to get used to a walking aid before switching to crutches.
While it is hoped Thomas will be fitted with a prosthetic leg at some stage, Meghan is thought to have no plans to meet her father in person.
