Luke Littler: World champion beats veteran Paul Lim in Bahrain

World champion Luke Littler beat the experienced Paul Lim 6-1 and reached the quarter-finals of the Bahrain Masters.
Littler produced a stunning performance in his first trip to the Oche since defending his world title at Alexandra Palace on January 3.
The 19-year-old averaged 106 points as he edged out 71-year-old Singaporean Lim.
When asked if he would still play in his 70s, British Littler said: “I have no chance! I’ll tell you now.” he replied.
“He’s just a classy guy and I wonder when he’ll retire. He’s still very strong in the training room too.”
Littler will face Wales’ Gerwyn Price, who defeated Motomu Sakai 6-3, in the last eight. Price finished second in Bahrain last year, beating Littler in the semi-finals.
Second seed Luke Humphries also finished the race after a 6-0 victory against Abdulla Saeed, while World Championship runner-up Gian van Veen defeated Man Lok Leung 6-2.
Michael van Gerwen will play the defending champion Stephen Bunting in the quarter-finals.
