9,000 Indians in Iran: MEA urges exit, says ‘we are committed to their well-being’ – The Economic Times Video
The Ministry of External Affairs said that around 9,000 Indian citizens, mostly students, are currently in Iran due to rising tensions in the country. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India had issued multiple alerts urging citizens in India to avoid traveling to Iran and advising Indians residing there to leave using available means. He added that New Delhi is monitoring the situation closely and remains fully committed to the security and welfare of Indian citizens.
