Traffic Diverted on NH-65 to Ease Congestion

Nalgonda: Nalgonda district police on Friday ordered diversion of vehicles to avoid traffic jams on National Highway 65 when people returned to Hyderabad on Saturday and Sunday after celebrating Sankranti from their hometowns.

In view of heavy traffic expectations and flyover construction works at Chityal and Peddakaparthi on National Highway-65, motorists traveling from AP towards Hyderabad have been asked to use alternative routes.

Vehicles from Guntur to Hyderabad will be routed via Miryalaguda, Haliya, Kondamallepally, Chintapally and Mall. Vehicles coming from Macherla will be diverted via Nagarjunasagar, Peddavura, Kondamallepally, Chintapally and Mall.

Vehicles from Nalgonda to Hyderabad will be diverted via Marriguda bypass, Munugodu, Narayanapur, Choutuppal (NH 65).

Heavy vehicles from Vijayawada to Hyderabad will be routed via Kodad, Huzurnagar, Miryalaguda, Haliya, Chintapalli-Mall.

Due to ongoing flyover works at Chityal and Peddakaparthi, traffic at the demand bases will be diverted from Chityal to Hyderabad via Bhongir.

Nalgonda superintendent of police Sharat Chandra said traffic diversion will be implemented at selected points on NH 65 to avoid traffic congestion. Police will be deployed at major junctions on the highway to constantly monitor traffic with the help of drone cameras.
