‘We can play for two titles’ – Danny Rohl eyes Rangers double

Rangers’ new winger Skov Olsen says fans can expect him to “get the job done” and they hope to finish the season with trophies.

The Danish international has signed a contract on loan from Wolfsburg until the end of the season, and Rangers have the option of making this transfer permanent in the summer.

Skov Olsen, 26, has made just 10 appearances for the Bundesliga side since his summer transfer from Club Brugge.

Skov Olsen, who had an excellent performance in Belgium, scoring 49 goals and providing 30 assists in 124 matches, told BBC Sport Scotland that he hopes to show the fans that he can recapture this form at Ibrox.

“Hopefully I can bring extra strength up front, score goals and add creativity to the team,” he said.

“I guess they can wait for me to try to pass, [going] inside and outside. Shoot and trap my friends. even go [if I] lose the ball – go again.

“That’s what they can expect and I’ll try and strive for that.

“It’s a very interesting period. But we have to take it one game at a time and win the next game. Hopefully we can lift the trophies at the end of the season.”

Skov Olsen played for Denmark’s Nordsjaelland and Bologna in Serie A before transferring to Club Brugge.

He added that he had spoken to various people about the club, including some current Rangers players with whom he played in his home country.

“I knew some guys from Nordsjaelland once. [Oliver] Antman is Tochi’s new transfer [Chukwuani]and Dio [Mohamed Diomande].

“I know the guys a little bit, so it was nice to see them after a few years.

“I spoke to Antman, who came in the summer, through a friend, obviously Tochi has just arrived, but apart from that I spoke to other people who had good things to say about the club.”
