Sunderland 2-1 Crystal Palace: Oliver Glasner says board have ‘abandoned’ players

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner was disappointed after his side’s defeat to Sunderland, saying the club’s board had “abandoned” them and that he had “always kept his mouth shut” but could no longer do so because he wanted to “defend his players”.

He added that the team had been “heartbroken” twice the day before this season’s game, with Eberechi Eze joining Arsenal in the summer and captain Marc Guehi offering a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window.
