Take a ride in a car with two front ends

Zach Sutton, a mechanical engineer from Detroit, calls his car Bak2Bak. It is made from the front ends of two older Chrysler vehicles, one manufactured in Canada and the other in the United States.

Sutton says he didn’t know the origins of the pieces when he purchased them, but later realized the pairing was coincidental. He describes the two countries as close “sister countries” that make a hybrid design feel appropriate.

The interesting vehicle attracts attention on the streets of Detroit. Sutton says the project was never serious, but was fun and accessible, a lighthearted symbol that provided, as she puts it, “lots of smiles per gallon.”
