The vehicle’s protection software will recognize that this is a carjacking attempt and activate the “kill switch.”

Although the EW theory seems sensational, experts in the automobile industry think that there is a more rational explanation for the above-mentioned scenario and that is geopolitical sanctions. Since the conflict in 2022, Porsche and BMW have ceased their operations in Russia.
According to sources from TheMoscow Times and AutoSpies, the European-based servers used to activate this anti-theft system may have terminated Russian access. When, due to this restriction on access, the vehicle is unable to “check in” to its server through the digital blockade created by the digital lock system, the autolock on the vehicle is automatically activated to ensure security against unauthorized use.
