WanderOn raises Rs 54 cr in Series A fund raise, from DSG Consumer Partner & Client Associates Alternate Fund (CAAF) investors

WanderOn, an experiential travel brand that caters to Gen Z and Millennial travelers, has raised Rs 54 crore in its Series A round led by DSG Consumer Brand and CAAF. The company said it has already scaled to a business of over Rs 100 million on a bootstrapped model and has doubled on an annual basis in the post-Covid period.

WanderOn said it is entering its next phase of expansion with the new capital available.

The company said the new funding will help WanderOn ‘accelerate’ its vision of creating more ‘immersive’ and ‘accessible’ travel experiences at a time when travel is increasingly about collecting meaningful experiences rather than ticking off landmarks.

The company plans to expand its destination portfolio, strengthen high-demand categories such as adventure, sports and wellness travel, and invest further in technology to enhance the entire travel journey, from discovery and planning to booking and destination experiences.

WanderOn said this shift has been accelerated by popular culture, with films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara romanticizing experiences like La Tomatina and scuba diving, and programs like Emily in Paris celebrating fashion and culinary discoveries shaping how young travelers imagine journeys built around iconic activities, shared moments and personal growth.

WanderOn CEO Govind Gaur said travel today is about connection and people want trips where they can meet like-minded travelers and feel like they’re part of something meaningful.
“We built WanderOn around this belief. This fundraiser gives us the ability to move faster on destinations, product innovation and technology, while continuing to put the traveler experience at the center of everything we do,” he added. By strengthening its digital capabilities, it aims to offer a seamless, intuitive end-to-end journey to travelers across the country, he said.

“Moreover, as India’s outbound travel market gains momentum, WanderOn is bullish on this shift and is scaling its global portfolio to serve the new generation of Indian travelers with increasing international ambitions,” he added.

WanderOn said it has hosted over 1 lakh passengers to date across more than 40 domestic and international destinations, with a strong share of repeat customers. The company was founded by a group of engineers from NIT Kurukshetra who bonded through travel.
