President Donald Trump leaked private texts from world leaders and taunted allies with memes on the eve of his WEF trip; He shared his messages in a midnight social media attack against those who criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s plan to purchase the Arctic region.
Trump told the New York Post that he spent Monday evening trying to stop European terrorists from escaping from a prison in Syria, while explaining that he leaked the messages “because they expressed my opinion.”
‘They say, ‘Oh my god, let’s have dinner, let’s do this, let’s do that,’ which just makes my point,” he continued. ‘European terrorists were in prison. They had a prison break. And working with the Syrian government and the new leader of Syria, they captured all the prisoners, put them back in prison, and these were the worst terrorists in the world, all from Europe.’
The prison break took place Monday at Al-Shaddadi prison in Syria, after Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa’s troops advanced against Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces troops and the Kurdish group agreed to hand over facilities housing 8,000 Islamic State fighters.
Meanwhile, Greenlandic Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said at a press conference on Tuesday that the Arctic island’s population and authorities should prepare for a possible military invasion despite pressure from Trump, saying: ‘A military conflict is unlikely, but cannot be ruled out.’
Trump is scheduled to leave Washington, D.C., on Tuesday evening for Davos, Switzerland, where he will hold important talks with European leaders about the Greenland conspiracy.

Trump leaked messages with world leaders because they ‘stated my opinion’
Donald Trump told New York Post He shared private text messages from French President Emmanuel Macron and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Truth Social because ‘they got my point across’.
‘This was just expressing my opinion. They say, “Wow, let’s have dinner, let’s do this, let’s do that.” “This just put out my opinion,” Trump said.
Trump also added that he praised Macron and Rutte’s work in preventing the escape from Al-Shaddadi prison in Syria.
‘I did a great job. Do you know what I did? I stopped the prison escape. We did a good job on Syria. They had an escape from prison. The European prisoners were breaking and I stopped it. “It was yesterday,” he said.

Scientists discover Greenland’s ‘Achilles heel’ that could force Trump to rethink Arctic playbook
Scientists have identified a hidden geological weakness beneath Greenland’s ice sheet that could hasten its collapse and complicate U.S. ambitions in the Arctic.
A new study has discovered a hidden sediment layer of soft dirt and sand that caused most of the glaciers in Denmark to melt, break up and fall into the ocean.
The findings revealed that the Greenland ice sheet is much less stable than it would be if it were anchored directly to solid bedrock. Instead, sediment reduces friction, allowing large ice sheets to move more easily, especially as meltwater seeps downward.
Oval Office portrait quietly hinting at invasion of Greenland
A portrait of James Polk, who oversaw the largest expansion of U.S. territory in history in the 1800s, hangs in the Oval Office.
Last year, Trump made a deal with House Speaker Mike Johnson to replace the Thomas Jefferson portrait in the White House with the Polk painting in the Capitol.
“He was kind of a real estate agent,” Trump told visitors to the Oval Office after it was redecorated. ‘He’s got a lot of land.’

Official says Trump’s Peace Board will not replace UN
Tom Fletcher, the UN’s top humanitarian official and Emergency Relief Coordinator, said Trump’s new Peace Board will not replace the United Nations.
“I am clear and my colleagues are clear that the United Nations is not going anywhere,” he told CNN.
“The United Nations was built for tough times, not easy times, and 2026 looks set to be a tough year, but we remain focused on getting out there and delivering for the hundreds of millions of people we serve around the world,” he continued.
The President’s Peace Board is described in a charter as an international organization that ‘secures lasting peace in areas affected by or threatened by conflict,’ the Times of Israel reported.
US Commerce Secretary says America will go ‘tit for tat’ over tariff retaliation
US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said ‘we will go back to tit-for-tat’ if Europe follows through on its threat of tariff retaliation.
“And it will result in a very positive meeting between Donald Trump and Ursula von der Leyen, just like last time,” Lutnick told the World Economic Forum.
‘So you may start with turmoil, but ultimately the US and Europe are great allies.
‘That doesn’t mean you disagree, but it doesn’t change the foundations of who the United States knows our allies are.And if we’re going to have turmoil, so be it. But we know where this will end. ‘It will end reasonably.’
Canadian military plans ‘insurgency-style’ tactics to fight US forces
Canada has quietly prepared an ‘insurgency-style’ response, including ‘hit-and-run’ ambushes, to combat US forces in the event of an invasion.
Canada’s military has developed an exemplary response to the American takeover after U.S. President Donald Trump had second thoughts online about seizing control of his northern neighbor, the Globe and Mail revealed Tuesday.
Citing two unnamed senior government officials, the newspaper said the response would be based on insurgency-style warfare and mirror tactics used by fighters resisting Soviet and later US forces in Afghanistan.
USA House warns against scammers selling fake VIP passes
USA House, a privately funded organization celebrating America’s 250th anniversary in Davos, has issued a warning about scammers selling VIP passes.
“It has been brought to our attention again this year that outside parties are selling “VIP access to USA House” and VIP access to other Stromback Global venues at Davors,” the alert said. The statement was included.
‘We will not grant access to people who purchase such packages. We offer our condolences to those who fell victim to these scams.’
What does Trump plan to discuss in Davos?
President Trump will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday evening.
He is expected to address the nation at a White House briefing alongside Karoline Leavitt at 1 p.m. before heading to the forum.
In Davos, the International Peace Board will announce plans to expand the organization’s scope of activity beyond Gaza.
‘The Peace Board will not be limited to Gaza. “This is a world-class Peace Board,” a senior U.S. official told Axios.
Some international allies see the organization as a threat; Trump is creating a board to rival the UN Security Council.
‘The president focuses primarily on our hemisphere, but he also has his eye on the world. I can’t say he’s focused on global domination. That’s America first. “And America still leads the world,” the official continued.
Russian Foreign Minister says NATO faces ‘deep crisis’
Donald Trump’s attempt to take over Greenland has created a ‘deep crisis’ for NATO, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at his annual press conference on Tuesday.
“It was difficult to imagine before that something like this could happen,” Lavrov said, noting that this could create a scenario in which “one NATO member would attack another NATO member.”
‘It is no longer the Collective West that writes the rules, but only its representative. This is a big upheaval for Europe and we are watching it. The concept of ensuring Euro-Atlantic security and cooperation has been brought into disrepute.’
Greenland Prime Minister warns about invasion
Greenlandic Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen warned against a possible US military invasion on Tuesday.
‘A military conflict is unlikely, but it cannot be ruled out,’ he said.

The government is working to issue new guidelines advising people to store food and supplies in their homes for five days, officials added, adding that the government would create a task force to assist in the event of an invasion.
