Three killed, five injured in separate road accidents in Annamayya district

3 people died and 5 people were injured in 3 separate traffic accidents in Annamayya district.
Madanapalle police said that on Tuesday midnight, two persons identified as Rudrayya (44) and Reddyshekhar (40) of Jammalapalli, Chintaparthi villages of Valmikipuram mandal, were killed after their motorcycle was hit by a car at Chintarapalli under Valmikipuram police station limits. It was stated that the accident was caused by the driver’s excessive speed and careless driving.
On Wednesday afternoon, 42-year-old farmer Shivashankar of Vaddipalli village of Mulakalacheruvu mandal was killed on the spot in a hit-and-run incident that took place on Kurabalakota-Mulakalacheruvu road, 20 kilometers from Madanapalle. While the farmer was going to the field, an unidentified vehicle hit him. Police said CCTV footage from the highway would be verified. A case was registered.
In another incident, five villagers, including a woman, were seriously injured when an autorickshaw crashed into a road divider and overturned at Pothupeta village of Peddatippa Samudram mandal in the district on Wednesday. The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital in Madanapalle. Police registered a case.
