Three Killed as Tyre Burst Triggers Fiery Bus–Lorry Crash in Nandyal

Three people were killed and more than a dozen injured in a horrific road accident near Shirivellametta in Nandyal district in the early hours of Thursday when a private bus’ tire burst, hit an oncoming container truck and burst into flames.
According to police, the accident took place shortly after 2 am in Shirivella mandal limits. ARBCVR private travel bus, carrying 36 passengers from Nellore to Hyderabad, had a tire burst while it was on the move, causing the driver to lose control.
The bus went onto the opposite sidewalk and collided head-on with a container truck coming from the opposite direction. The impact was so severe that the bus immediately caught fire and the flames quickly engulfed the vehicle. The container truck also became unusable in the fire.
The bus driver, truck driver and truck cleaner died at the scene. Their bodies were charred beyond recognition. More than a dozen injured passengers were taken to surrounding hospitals and treated.
