Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, said podcasters and comedians Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang said “the quiet part loud” in their criticism of her Senate candidacy, suggesting the statement was about her race.
“I really think the host said the quiet part out loud, which was basically: If a White man can’t do this, then why would a Black woman have the audacity to think she could?” Crockett said in an interview in January: According to Washington Post. “I don’t know how many White men there were, and they all lost. The only thing we know for sure is that a White man can lose.”
Rogers and Yang, hosts of the “Las Culturistas” podcast, faced backlash after Rogers urged listeners not to donate to Crockett’s campaign and criticized politicians who are ‘making things about themselves.’ Yang agreed with Rogers, but both apologized for the remarks days later.

The “Las Culturistas” podcast, produced by iHeartMedia and Big Money Players Network, did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Crockett has always argued that he will win the Senate election by reaching out to people who don’t vote and appealing to minority voting blocs.
“I understand that I’m not a traditional candidate. That’s exactly why I’m going to win,” Crockett said, according to the Post.
The progressive lawmaker compared his campaign to Beto O’Rourke’s 2018 Senate bid, which he lost by 3 percentage points.
O’Rourke told the Post there were no bad results in the primary. Crockett is running against state Rep. James Talarico.
“I don’t know if I have the conventional wisdom about either of them,” O’Rourke said.
JASMINE CROCKETT SAID THE SENATE SHOULD INTRODUCE ‘CODE OF ETHICS’ TO THE SUPREME COURT
During the discussion on their podcast, Rogers cited O’Rourke’s campaign as one reason Crockett did not win.
“He’s not going to win a Senate seat in Texas, folks,” Rogers said. “Like, if Beto O’Rourke couldn’t do it, Jasmine Crockett won’t do it either.”
Crockett dismissed critics who thought he couldn’t win in Texas.
“My theory of the matter is: If you believe we’re going to lose anyway, then what difference does it make whether it’s me or someone else?” Crockett said, according to the Post. “Who cares if you think it’s a losing cause? But at least you can say we tried something new and learned something from the experience.”

Crockett also addressed criticism from Rogers and Yang during a conversation with former Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison on the “At Our Table” podcast on Tuesday.
“Yes, people are scared. And it’s not like they’re scared of me losing. They’re actually scared of me winning. That’s what I’m hearing. What frustrates me is when I hear some things from the left, I expect to hear some things from the right, right? So that’s fine,” Crockett replied.
