Gujarat delegation holds over 30 global investor meetings at WEF 2026

A high-level delegation from the Government of Gujarat, led by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh R. Sanghavi, will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos-Klosters, officials said.
Stating that this is Gujarat’s first delegation to undertake structured, high-level participation at the WEF, officials said the participation aims to strengthen international cooperation, attract global investments and advance the State’s long-term development roadmap under the Viksit Gujarat@2047 vision.
During the three-day summit, the delegation held more than 30 meetings with global heads, chief executives, investors and representatives of multilateral institutions to position Gujarat as an investment destination in key sectors, officials said.
Officials said meetings were held with executives from Micron Technology, Tata Electronics, SEALSQ, IonQ, Emerald AI, OpenAI and NVIDIA in the semiconductors, electronics and advanced technologies sector. Discussions focused on semiconductor manufacturing, advanced electronics, artificial intelligence and quantum-related technologies, including potential partnerships.
On digital infrastructure, data centers and emerging technologies, the delegation interacted with representatives from Tillman Global Holdings, IBM, Johnson Controls and Cognisant and held discussions covering data centers, telecom networks, smart infrastructure and AI-enabled services, officials said.
Officials said discussions were held with senior executives of Welspun Group, Sumitomo Group, Lulu Group International, Technip Energies, RPSG Group, TVS Group and ArcelorMittal on production, infrastructure and industrial expansion.
On clean energy and the energy transition, meetings were held with executives from Hitachi Energy, ENGIE, EDF, Topsoe, Vestas, INOX GFL Group and Trafigura, focusing on green hydrogen, renewable energy production, grid modernization and industrial decarbonization, officials said.
The meeting with AP Moller-Maersk focused on port-led development, multi-modal logistics and supply chain integration to strengthen Gujarat’s role in global trade, officials said. Industrial gases, clean production and support for the semiconductor ecosystem were discussed in separate meetings with Linde and Air Liquide.
In the space technology sector, the delegation met with representatives from Marlan Spacetech to explore collaboration in space technologies, advanced materials and future industries, officers said. Additionally, discussions were held with the World Bank Group and the Asian Development Bank on sustainable urban development, water security, climate change resilience and infrastructure financing.
The Gujarat delegation will continue its work as the WEF 2026 Annual Meeting progresses, officials said.
