On July 12, 1992, the family members of 11 SİH, who were killed by the Polibhit (Uttar Pradesh) by the Polibhit police on July 12, 1992, were very difficult. These Sikhs were in the Yatra of Sih Gurdwara Sahibs in India. They returned from Hazur Sahib when they were captured by a police party near Pilibhit. Police separated the men, the elderly and the children. Bapu Jeet Singh’s son Harkinder Singh was also killed in this false match. Bapu Jeet Singh and his family continued a legal war for two and a half years with their families of other Sikhs killed in this false match. In 2016, about twenty -five years after the incident, 47 police staff were convicted in this case. From the mid -1980s to the mid -1990s, the period was overshadowed by open human rights violations and killing of Sikhs in false encounters. Pilibhit Fake encounter case was one of the rare cases that have been tried for more than twenty years until the last hearing, conviction and punishment of the criminals. This short documentary tells the story of the struggle of the victim families against the persecution for 25 years.
