Protesters supporting Palestine Action hunger striker arrested outside prison | London

A group of protesters supporting a Palestine Action prisoner on hunger strike were arrested after breaching prison grounds, the Metropolitan police said.

The force said it had detained a group of protesters outside HMP Wormwood Scrubs in west London on Saturday evening and was in the process of making a number of arrests.

According to police, the group refused to leave the area when ordered, allegedly blocking the entrance and exit of prison staff and threatening police officers.

Some also managed to break into the staff entrance area of ​​the prison building, the Met said.

Police said the group was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespassing.

In the images shared on social media, a group was seen chanting slogans outside the prison, some carrying banners in their hands.

At one point, the group can be seen heading towards a building, and a video shows some demonstrators inside.

It is understood that they organized the demonstration in support of Ömer Khalid.

According to the group, he is the last remaining participant in the Prisoners of Palestine hunger strike campaign.
